Eileen has a Masters degree in Education. She has worked for 30 years with teachers and children, the Michigan Virtual High School, and Central Michigan University. She is certified in the construction and maintenance of the Bio-sand water filter.
She has been promoting water filtration for developing countries around the world since 2001 and travels to Nepal frequently to check on water and health issues in adopted villages there. She has facilitated the CAWST (the Center for Affordable Water) Biosand Filter Workshop since 2004. Eileen is also a longtime Rotarian, and the past-president of the Rotary Club of Troy, Michigan.
