Julia currently works as a research technologist at Michigan State University in The Water Quality and Environmental Microbiology Laboratory where the team works to monitor wastewater for detection of SARS-CoV-2.
Additionally, the laboratory works on other water quality-related projects with public health agencies. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a Minor in Women’s and Gender studies from MSU. She is thankful for the opportunity to join an organization like AVFCW where her interests intersect with her wish to be of service to the international community.
AVFCW is 100% volunteer run with nearly zero overhead. We rely on the generosity of people just like you volunteering their time—or donating what they can—towards our goal of providing clean, safe drinking water for all.
