Shefali has over 17 years of product development experience in vehicle electrification and autonomy. She has a Masters Degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan and is passionate about sustainability and renewable energy and has previously volunteered with the Detroit chapter of Engineers Without Borders on a water and sanitation project in Nicaragua.

Shefali was inspired by Eileen and the mission of AVFCW when she attended our biosand water filter workshop and decided to join the AVFCW board as Treasurer in 2023. In her spare time, Shefali enjoys traveling and water activities such as sailing and paddling. She also expresses her creativity, making and selling handmade mixed media art pieces at local art markets.
Shefali formerly served as AVFCW Board Member and Treasurer.
