Simran is enrolled in a master’s program to test a concentration method for viruses in marine water. This will be implemented by the US Marine Mammal Program to keep their trained bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions healthy.
Simran also works in a microbiology laboratory on Michigan State University’s campus, testing wastewater for SARS-CoV-2. She has always had a strong connection to water and is passionate about others’ access to clean water. She is looking to continue her career in water microbiology and to offer her experience with laboratory knowledge as well as data management skills to AVFCW.
AVFCW is 100% volunteer run with nearly zero overhead. We rely on the generosity of people just like you volunteering their time—or donating what they can—towards our goal of providing clean, safe drinking water for all.
