Nepal Cholera Prevention Project

Cholera Prevention in Nepal

Cholera is one of the major problems facing Nepal after the recent earthquake.  According to The World Health Organization, it  can kill someone within hours if left untreated.  About 75% of people infected do not develop any symptoms. The bacteria are present in their faeces for 7–14 days after infection potentially infecting other people.

A Vision for Clean Water is working with Rotary Club of Troy, Michigan  and the Kathmandu Midtown Rotaractors to prevent serious outbreak of cholera in Nepal. They have been partnering since 2004 and have supplied water or sanitation to  many schools and villages.

You can help. Please pass the word–a $10 donation will provide needed information to families and businesses along with a kit.
