Free Water Projects Think Tank (4/29)

As part of a Rotary District 6380 Grant, A Vision for Clean Water is hosting a “Think Tank” to discuss ways to increase long-term success for WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) projects. It will be held the day following the 3-day Latrine Workshop to allow the workshop attendees who have come from Kenya, Ecuador and Haiti plus others to participate. World Water Day 2019 Presentation (3/17)

Titled "Water Problems in Puerto Rico", Laura Richardson, CEO of OHorizons, will discuss her experiences bringing clean drinking water to those in need using OHorizons’ low cost wooden mold to create Biosand Filters. Demonstrations, examples of water filtration solutions, discussions and refreshments will also be included. Latrine Workshop (4/26-28, 2019)

This 3 day workshop provides attendees interested in water and sanitation projects in developing countries with an overview of latrine program implementation. This is the latest workshop from the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technologies (CAWST) and enables participants to select approaches that are appropriate for their context as well as key resources to learn more about the different approaches. The workshop brings together people active in implementing water and sanitation projects throughout the developing world, so participants learn from the experiences of their other participants in addition to the CAWST teachers. Biosand Water Filters & More Workshop (4/19-22)

The next AVFCW workshop will be on Biosand Water Filters & More, and will be held from April 19th – 22nd, 2018 at the Columbiere Center in Clarkston, Michigan.

The biosand filter (BSF) is an effective and sustainable household-level safe drinking water solution. By the end of this workshop, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to choose appropriate filter technology and to plan and implement a successful BSF project.

Water Testing & Treatment Workshops (4/27-30)

The next workshop will be on Water Testing & Treatment, and will be held from April 27th – 30th, 2017 at the Columbiere Center in Clarkston, Michigan. Low-Cost Sanitation Workshop (4/28-5/1/16)

The next Low-Cost Sanitation Workshop will be held from April 28th - May 1st, 2016 at the Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Benefits of this four-day workshop include: You will be provided with theory, instruction and hands‐on experience by AVFCW staff and a CAWST instructor. Covers topics such as water quality, hygiene, sanitation, disease transmission, household water treatment options and safe water storage.
