Newsletter – Fall 2020

Eileen Heasley & Nikki Beetsch

We hope you and yours are doing as well as can be expected during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The AVFCW team has been busy behind the scenes meeting with each other virtually, seeing how our time and money can best be spent to assist others during the continuing outbreak.

This newsletter highlights our upcoming speak, Meghanlata Gupta, who will be presenting at the Troy Rotary Club’s virtual meeting at 11:45 a.m. on July 29, 2020.

…an Indigenous historian, journalist, and organizer from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. She is a senior at Yale University, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnicity, Race and Migration. Her work is deeply rooted in efforts to increase Indigenous education and representation. She has been employed for over 20 years by NSF International, a public health and safety company globally headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Thank you for all you have done with AVFCW Eileen! We look forward to continuing our mission in the same vein that you and your husband started the organization with way back in 2003.

Don’t forget to like our Facebook page to stay in touch with us on what is happening in the world regarding water and sanitation efforts!
